We are collecting all sports cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Al Jurisich. He is a graduate of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, LA. He started pitching in 1939 for the 1939 Opelousas Indians. From 1940-1942 he pitched in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system including each year for the New Orleans Pelicans. From 1944-1945 he pitched at MLB level with the St. Louis Cardinals. On February 4, 1946, he was purchased with Johnny Wyrostek by the Philadelphia Phillies from the St. Louis Cardinals. He pitched for the Phillies from from 1946-1947. From 1948-1951, he pitched in the minors in the Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox organizations.
