We are collecting all sports trading cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Lou Legett. He is a graduate of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, LA. He played catcher in the minor leagues from 1926-1927 in B Class. In 1928, he signed with the Chicago Cubs and was playing with the AA Class Reading Keystones. On November 7, 1928, he was traded by the Chicago Cubs with Bruce Cunningham, Percy Jones, Freddie Maguire, Socks Seibold and $200,000 to the Boston Braves for Rogers Hornsby. In 1929, he played 32 games at MLB level with the Boston Braves. From 1930 to 1933, he played with several teams in AA ball. On June 17, 1933, he was purchased by the Boston Red Sox from Albany (International). From 1933-1936, Legett played both at the MLB level and AA level with the Boston Red Sox. In 1937, he played in the minor leagues for the Cincinnati Reds.
