Johnson, George T.

We are collecting all sports trading cards, memorabilia and any photographs of George T. Johnson. He played his college ball at Dillard University. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 5th round (11th pick, 79th overall) of the 1970 NBA Draft. On April 15, 1971, he was waived by the Chicago Bulls. On September 28, 1972, he was signed as a free agent with the Golden State Warriors. He played in the NBA from 1972-1976 for the Golden State Warriors. On January 18, 1977, he was traded by the Golden State Warriors to the Buffalo Braves for a 1977 1st round draft pick (Wesley Cox was later selected). He played for the Braves from 1976-1977. On September 1, 1977, he was traded by the Buffalo Braves with a 1978 1st round draft pick (Micheal Ray Richardson was later selected) and a 1979 1st round draft pick (Cliff Robinson was later selected) to the New Jersey Nets for Tiny Archibald. He played with the Nets from 1977-1980. He signed as a veteran free agent with the San Antonio Spurs and played with them from 1980-1982. On September 27, 1982, he was traded by the San Antonio Spurs to the Atlanta Hawks for Jim Johnstone, a 1983 2nd round draft pick (Darrell Lockhart was later selected) and a 1985 2nd round draft pick (Manute Bol was later selected). He played with the Hawks from 1982-1983. He did not play in 1983-1984. He played for the New Jersey Nets from 1985-1986 and the Seattle Supersonics from 1986-1987.
