We are collecting all sports cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Hal Bevan. He is a graduate of S.J. Peters High School in New Orleans, LA. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates as an amateur free agent in 1948. He played First Baseman, Catcher and Third Baseman throughout his career. He played in the Pirates minor league system till 1951 which included the New Orleans Pelicans from 1949-1951. On November 19, 1951, he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox from the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1951 rule 5 draft. He played in 1 game at the MLB level for the Red Sox in 1952 when on May 3, 1952, he was selected off waivers by the Philadelphia Athletics from the Boston Red Sox. He played in 8 games for the Athletics in 1952 and 3 games in 1955. He played in the Athletics minor league system till September, 1955, when he was traded by the Kansas City Athletics to the Cincinnati Redlegs for Ray Noble. He played in the Cincinnati minor league system till he retired in 1962. He did play in 3 games for Cincinnati in 1961 at the MLB level.
