Cortes, Rene

We are collecting all sports trading cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Rene Cortes. He is a graduate of Arabi High School in Arabi, LA. He pitched for the Atlanta Crackers in the Southern Association in 1939. In 1940, he pitched for the Spartanburg Charleston/Charleston Rebels. From 1941-1943, he pitched again for the Atlanta Crackers. He also pitched for the Savannah Indians in 1942. In 1946, he pitched again for the Crackers and the Indians. In 1947, he pitched for the Beaumont Exporters and Augusta Tigers which were in the New York Yankees minor league system. Cortes got as high as AA Level with the 1946 Atlanta Crackers and 1947 Beaumont Exporters.
