We are collecting all sports trading cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Connie Ryan. He is a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans, LA. He played his college ball at Louisiana State University. He started his minor league career in 1940 playing 2nd base for the Atlanta Crackers and Savannah Indians. In 1941, he played for the Crackers until August 7, 1941, when he was purchased by the New York Giants from Atlanta. In 1942, he played for the Jersey City Giants and 11 games at the MLB level for the New York Giants. He played for the Giants till April 27, 1943, when he was traded by the New York Giants with Hugh Poland to the Boston Braves for Ernie Lombardi. He played for the Braves until May 10, 1950, when he was traded by the Boston Braves to the Cincinnati Reds for Walker Cooper. He played for the Reds till December 10, 1951, when he was traded by the Cincinnati Reds with Smoky Burgess and Howie Fox to the Philadelphia Phillies for Niles Jordan, Eddie Pellagrini, Andy Seminick and Dick Sisler. He played for the Phillies till August 25, 1953, when he was selected off waivers by the Chicago White Sox. He played for the White Sox till December 10, 1953, when he was traded by the Chicago White Sox with Rocky Krsnich and Saul Rogovin to the Cincinnati Reds for Willard Marshall. He played for the Reds till April 26, 1954, when he was released. He continued playing in the minor leagues till 1956. He was a 1X All-Star in 1944 for the Boston Braves.
