We are collecting all sports cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Blake Stein. He is a graduate of Covington High School in Covington, LA. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 6th round of the 1994 MLB June Amateur Draft from Spring Hill College (Mobile, AL). He pitched in the Cardinals minor leagues from 1994-1997. On July 31, 1997, he was traded by the St. Louis Cardinals with Eric Ludwick and T.J. Mathews to the Oakland Athletics for Mark McGwire. He played in the A’s minors in 1997 as well as 1998 but was called up for 24 games at the MLB level by the A’s in 1998. In 1999, he played in the A’s minors and was called up for 1 game at the MLB level when on July 31, 1999, he was traded by the Oakland Athletics with Jeff D’Amico and Brad Rigby to the Kansas City Royals for Kevin Appier. For the rest of 1999, he played in 12 games for the Royals. From 2000 to 2002, he played both in the Royals minors and 133 games at the MLB level. On September 9, 2002, he was released by the Kansas City Royals and played the rest of his career till 2004 in the minors in various organization such as Cleveland Indians, Montreal Expos and Pittsburgh Pirates.
