Cooper, Wayne

We are collecting all sports trading cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Wayne Cooper. He is a graduate of University of New Orleans. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 2nd round (18th pick, 40th overall) of the 1978 NBA Draft. He played for the Warriors from 1978-1980. On September 11, 1980, he was traded by the Golden State Warriors with a 1981 2nd round draft pick (Ken Green was later selected) to the Utah Jazz for Bernard King. He played for the Jazz from 1980 to 1981. On August 20, 1981, he was traded by the Utah Jazz with Allan Bristow to the Dallas Mavericks for Bill Robinzine. He played for the Mavericks from 1981-1982. On June 28, 1982, he was traded by the Dallas Mavericks with a 1985 1st round draft pick (Terry Porter was later selected) to the Portland Trail Blazers for Kelvin Ransey. He played for the Trail Blazer from 1982-1984. On June 7, 1984, he was traded by the Portland Trail Blazers with Fat Lever, Calvin Natt, a 1984 2nd round draft pick (Willie White was later selected) and a 1985 1st round draft pick (Blair Rasmussen was later selected) to the Denver Nuggets for Kiki Vandeweghe. He played for the Nuggets from 1984-1989. On July 24, 1989, he signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Portland Trail Blazers. He played for the Trail Blazers from 1989-1993.
