Schroll, Al

We are collecting all sports trading cards, memorabilia and any photographs of Al Schroll. Schroll was signed as a free agent by the Boston Red Sox in 1951 out of Tulane University. Schroll pitched in the Red Sox minors till October 6, 1958, when he was sent to the Philadelphia Phillies by the Boston Red Sox as part of a conditional deal. He pitched in 3 games at the MLB level for the Phillies till May 7, 1959, when he was returned by the Philadelphia Phillies to the Boston Red Sox as part of a conditional deal. He pitched in 14 games for the Red Sox in 1959. On December 1, 1959, he was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Chicago Cubs for Bobby Thomson. He pitched in 35 games for the Cubs until June, 1961 when he was purchased by the Minnesota Twins from the Chicago Cubs. Schroll pitched in Twins minor leagues till he retired in 1963.
