About Me

I’m 72, I’ve been working since I was 13, and I still have plenty to say. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

Glad you stopped by.

I’ve spent more than 40 years working as a liability claims adjuster, including over 15 years with my current nationwide adjusting firm. I work remotely from our home outside Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and write Bonin’s Briefs from here, too.

I’m a graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, LA, and I attended the University of New Orleans.

My wife, Michelle, and I have one son, Derek. He and his wife, Casey, have six children: Kayme, Kinsley, Caroline, August, Rhett and Tallulah.

I’m a New Orleans Saints and Tulane Green Wave fan, and I have a large collection of sports trading cards and memorabilia, especially autographs. I sell some of my sports cards on Sportlots and some of my memorabilia on eBay.

Outside my home office window, I have bird feeders set up, including two with cameras. We have two dogs, Lily and Lola, who love their backyard and are always chasing the squirrels away from the bird feeders. There’s always something to watch between the work and the writing.

That’s a bit about the man behind the briefs. Here, I share my days, my opinions, and my take on the products and services I come across.
